Holliday Street, then the second address

Birmingham Register Office is on Holliday Street, B1 1TJ. For 1 April 2026 to 31 March 2027 the statutory ceremony is £62. The council describes that room as a working office. Music and photography are not allowed while you are in it. Portraits happen afterwards, outside, or in a ceremony suite. Suites on the same fee table go up to £487.50. When a registrar travels to a licensed venue, the Monday to Thursday fee is £626, and that includes one certificate.

The signing and the meal are often miles apart. A ceremony in the centre, then a room in Solihull, Sutton Coldfield or out towards the Black Country, is a normal shape for the day. Put both addresses in the enquiry, with the guest count and the time you need to be at the second one. That drive decides the start, the finish, and whether one person can cover both. A short register-office signing is often covered in one or two hours, ceremony plus a few pictures outside. A suite with guests, or a day that continues to a meal, needs the longer hours written down. If the meal stays in Birmingham, say that too, so the drive drops out of the quote. If guests are coming from Coventry or Worcester and you need a later finish, put that time in the note.

Photography is not allowed in the £62 room. Where do the pictures happen?

Outside afterwards, or in a ceremony suite if you want the camera indoors. Say which, how many people will be there, and how long you have. Suites on the fee table go up to £487.50.

We are signing on Holliday Street and eating in Solihull. Is that one job?

Name both places, the guest count, and the time you need to be at the second one. Ask whether the drive sits inside the fee or on top of it.

How many hours if we only want a ceremony suite?

Send the suite name, how many people will be in the room, and when you have to leave it. A short booking reads differently from coverage that stays through the meal.

Can one person get from Holliday Street to a Black Country venue?

Often, if the finish time works. Ask what time they are quoting until, and name the venue. The council's Monday to Thursday fee when a registrar travels to a licensed venue is £626, including one certificate. That is the council's charge. The photographer still needs the two addresses.

What if the meal stays in the city and guests are coming from Coventry?

Say the meal is in the city, so no one adds a drive you are not making. If you need a later finish because people are arriving from Coventry or Worcester, put that time in the note. A two-hour signing and a day that waits for those guests are different bookings.
